Part II in the series of Pulitzer Prize caliber posts examining the variations of Fantasy Guy takes a brief look at Snarky Guy or SG for short.  Every fantasy league has one SG and this person is invariably a perennial winner or near the top of the standings.  SG never misses an opportunity to boast about his brilliance while belittling others with mockingly sardonic comments.  Occasionally, these posts are intended to rattle or distract another league member who is doing well or having a solid draft.  However, in most cases the purpose is to entice or provoke others to post while simultaneously adding some excitement to the league.  Because of SG's superiority over all the other league members, merely winning is not enough to quell his competitive juices.  SG must up the ante by making sure his omniscience is apparent to everyone.  SG knows that a lot of league members have very thin skin and will react by doing everything in their power to prevent him from winning.  Examples of this include refusing to acknowledge SG's posts or trade offers and colluding...er...making lopsided trades in an effort to enable one team to overtake SG in the standings.  While SG is often frustrated with these tactics, he usually uses them as further motivation to obliterate the competition.   Although some of Snarky Guy's posts can be harsh, it's a mistake to conclude that he is arrogant.  In the vast majority of cases, SG's comments are meant in good fun and he should be embraced rather than scorned...
