Day II, Rush, and Hello Brooklyn!

The big free agency news is that the Golden State Warriors offered Elton Brand a five year deal for $90 million. I guess they didn't like the Clippers poaching their best player hours after he opted out of his deal. Although it's going to be tough for EB to leave $20 million on the table, he'll likely do just that in order to be able to team up with Baron next season. Once Brand is back in the fold, the next item on the agenda for Elgin Baylor and Mike Dunleavy should be to lock up Quinton Ross. I've seen dozens of Clippers games over the past couple of years and Ross is destined to become another Bruce Bowen. Once QR develops a consistent shot he'll be earning major minutes in the league. Right now, he's a valuable 15-25 minute guy off the bench and the Clips can't afford to let him walk...

Is this guy worth $400,000,000? Is he really still relevant? Is there anyone under 55 who listens to him on a daily basis? Have I asked enough rhetorical questions? While I admire Rush's work ethic and what he has made of himself over the past two decades, I can't help but think he is just a tad overpaid. Is it inaccurate to state that he is merely a shill for the Republican Party? I mean, I haven't listened to his show for more than thirty minutes during the past ten years, but when I did stumble upon it back in the day there was never any dissent. None. There were hardly ever any guests (certainly nobody from the left) and all of the hand picked callers agreed with Rush's positions. While I do admit that I found some of his Hillary Clinton and Jesse Jackson commentary amusing in the mid-nineties, the rest of what I heard was Rush towing the party line on every conceivable issue. Perhaps things have changed, but I have a feeling it's the same old song and dance...

Enough of Rush's mug. Brooklyn Decker is a little easier on the eyes...

What's your definition of approve of? Tolerate is probably a little more accurate.
Besides, when I'm doing my intensive research on the internet the BATWOTSDSG is usually watching back to back episodes of Oprah on the DVR at 9:30 p.m. I could be auditioning Charger girls in my office and she may not even know it. She'll always be #1 in my heart...unless one of the Dashtacular Dozen should happen to pay me a visit. Then it's a whole new ball game.
