Daily Dot Dot Dot - The Weekend Wrap Up
Shark Attack

The big story this weekend is whether The Shark can stay in contention at the British Open. After being an afterthought on the PGA tour for the past decade or so, Norman is a major factor at this year's Open. Whatever Chris Everett is doing to make him happy seems to be working...
In the Line of Fire This Week

Starting this weekend, I'll be looking back at who took direct shots to the torso (or at least some shrapnel) during the past week. I'll also be naming the Bonehead of the Week. So, without further ado, here are the people who have felt the wrath of the SDSG:
George W. Bush
David Stern
Tim Donaghy
Scott Foster
John Hammond
Tyronn Lue
Malik Allen
Mark Warkentien
Gilbert Arenas
Brett Favre
The first recipient of the Bonehead of the Week Award is none other than Vice President of Player Personnel for the Denver Nuggets, Rex Chapman. It was bad enough that Rex and his partner in crime, Mark Warkentien, dealt Marcus Camby to the Clippers for less than a bag of peanuts. To compound matters, Chapman managed to insult the intelligence of all basketball fans by saying that the right trade came along at the right time. While I realize that Chapman was likely following the orders of Nuggets owner Stan Kroenke to shed salary, he is the Bonehead of the Week for not getting the Clippers or another team to at least part with a lottery protected #1 pick. Incidentally, there is no doubt that the "More Cowbell" sketch with Christopher Walken on SNL is an absolute classic. Well, on San Diego Sports Guy "More Camby" is gaining momentum. I'm going to see how many consecutive days I can post about Camby and the preposterous trade that was made by the Nuggets. Just kidding, I'll do my best not to mention Camby's name at all next week. I promise...
Waiting by Phone for SDSG?

Looks like Salma likes older men. You might be a little young for her. No Camby posts? I'll believe it when I see it.

It likely will be very tough, but I'll try very hard to resist the temptation for at least the next week. After that "More Camby" may become a regular feature. Stay tuned...

I'm not sure what's more shocking, the Camby trade or ads on the SDSG website!

The Camby trade...no doubt about it! So far the only one that has been turned down is a "Hannity and Colmes" ad from Fox News. Exposing my readers to Hannity's preening mug would not have been fair...
