Grandpa John, Artest, Favre, Scotch & Heather

Desperation Time?

Since I need to finish my biotech research this evening and there is a lot going on today, I've decided to post a little earlier than usual.  Let's get things started with Grandpa John's new ad featuring Britney and Paris.  How do you spell d-e-s-p-e-r-a-t-i-o-n?  I could be wrong, but three months from now I have a feeling we'll be looking back at this ad as the beginning of the end for McCain...

Team to Beat?

Ron Artest, right, reacts after a turnover by Los Angeles Lakers guard Kobe Bryant in Sacramento on March 14, 2006.

How the Mighty Have Fallen

"Thanks but no thanks, Brett."  I wasn't at the meeting earlier today, but this is what Packers President Mark Murphy reportedly told the face of the franchise for the past 17 seasons.   Favre was royalty in Green Bay five short months ago and now he's basically been reduced to a joke.  What a travesty.  Good thing it's almost quitting time because I think I need a drink...

In the SDSG's Liquor Cabinet...

I'll probably finish off the bottle of Talisker single malt scotch by the end of the evening...
