Weekend Wrap Up - Erin Andrews Fallout & In the Line of Fire
ESPN Releases Statement

As I suspected, ESPN was forced to release a statement concerning the Peoria writer's column about Erin Andrews. Having spent many a muggy summer evening in Milwaukee during my lifetime, I still think this is much ado about nothing. Andrews will be but a fleeting memory a year or so from now as another "it" girl will invariably seize her throne...
In the Line of Fire

Not quite as long a list as last week, but there were still a number of people caught in the crossfire this week:
Brett Favre
Rex Chapman
Chevy Chase
David Stern
Nancy Pelosi
Tony Siragusa
Luis Rodriguez
Sportswriter Mike Nadel
Anyone agreeing with Nadel
Khalil Greene
Kevin Towers
Bud Black
*Detroit Tigers front office
*Atlanta Braves front office
*Pam Anderson
*David Hasselhoff

The Bonehead of the Week has to go to Senator John McCain for approving the "Obama is the country's biggest celebrity" ad campaign. As I anticipated, there was quite a backlash to the commercial comparing Obama to Paris Hilton. If the comparison was to a rock n' roll star that would be one thing, but when did 200,000 people ever show up to see Paris? Well, come to think of it there was that infamous hotel room video a few years back, but that's entirely different. The ad smacked of desperation and McCain is going to have a hard time making people forget it...

Pam Anderson is a piece of ass and deserves to be on the list. I've never even heard of some of the others and yes I might be German

I think 'was' may be a better word. Thanks for your suggestion, but I just don't see it happening. Check back to see on September 1st though. So how long will it be before the SDSG is as popular as David Hasselfhoff in Germany?
