Ricky Williams, Sarah Palin's Grandchild & Leryn Franco

Well, well, well...one of San Diego's favorite sons, Patrick Henry High School legend Ricky Williams, received a contract extension and likely will be playing a major role in the Miami Dolphins' offense this season.    I'm certainly pleased to see that Ricky will be in the NFL for at least two more years and I'm sure there are a few dealers...er...fans in Miami that are very happy as well.

Johnston is a varsity hockey player at Wasilla High School.

Sarah Palin's future son-in-law, Levi Johnston, is about to become a household name.  I agree that a candidate's children should be off limits, particularly if they are minors.  However, I couldn't help but notice that the Palins like offbeat names beginning with the letters T-R (e.g. Track & Trig).   So, as a public service I'm going to offer my opinion on some possible names for Sarah, Bristol, and Levi to consider:

Ruled Out:

Tryst
Trough
Tragic
Trampoline (I happen to like this one, but the nickname just wouldn't fly)
Trick

In The Running:

Trade
Trait
Tranquil
Treat  (Mr. Williams will be pleased)
Trance
Train
Trap
Tram
Truth
Trip
Tribe
Trek
Trout
Trio

My Top 5 Recommendations:

Tree (Wayne Rollins has given his blessing)
Trail
Tribe
Troop
Trellis

Serbia's Novak Djokovic didn't win the gold medal in Beijing, but for some reason I really don't think he cares too much.  Since it's that time of the month again, we'll just have to see where Leryn ends up in the San Diego Sports Guy's Dashtacular Dozen...

12) Selita Ebanks - Has tumbled down to #12 and might be gone by October
11) Brooke Burke
10) Halle Berry
9)   Nicole Scherzinger
8)   Megan Fox - Despite the Brian Austin Green factor, Megan is making her move
7)   Salma Hayek
6)   Anna Rawson
5)   Serena Williams
4)   Scarlett Johansson
3)   Leryn Franco - Quite a debut for Leryn as she gets the bronze
2)   Stacey Dash

And for the second consecutive month...

1)   Beyonce Knowles - Comes in at #1
