I noticed in your NFL picks that you took the Chargers and are giving the points to the Bills. While I hope that you are right about a Chargers win, this game sets up very badly for the Chargers. They are travelling cross-country for the game, and NFL teams perform notoriously badly on cross-country trips. Compounding the situation for the Chargers is that the Bills are coming off a bye week. Charger fans have seen this script before -- two weeks ago they travelled cross-country to play a Miami team coming off a bye week and got beaten rather soundly. The Fish played a much more spirited game that day.
The NFL schedule-makers treated the Chargers very poorly in this stretch of the season. For the second time in three weeks, the Bolts are travelling three time zones to play a team coming off a bye week. My pick of the week is to take the home-underdog Bills with the points. IF the Chargers can manage to win this game, it will be exceedingly close. And that's IF they can pull it out.
My one caveat is that while you should definitely bet on the Bills, don't bet the house. Just bet your kitchen. JP Lohsman is a heartbeat away from the Bills' QB spot, which is even scarier than the Tina Fey version of Palin being a hearbeat away from the presidency.

Good to hear from you, Rosey! The Chargers are defitinely getting shafted by the league...threre is no doubt about it. First Miami, Buffalo on Sunday and then they have to travel to London to play the Saints. Buffalo is certainly a smart play/bet given the circumstances. However, the Chargers are clearly the better team and should be able to eke out a three or four point victory. I agree with you that it is going to be a tight game. Hopefully the Bolts learned a valuable lesson down in Miami and will be ready to play four solid quarters.
p.s. I just read that Winkie is going to be on "Saturday Night Live" tomorrow. Yes, the real Sarah Palin will be making an appearance and I'm positively giddy about it...
