Thoughts On A Thursday and The Sure Thing
Andrew Bogut shaved his dome last season, stayed relatively healthy, put up solid numbers and looked like a bad-ass on the court. Now that the long hair is back, he resembles Todd Cleary from “Wedding Crashers.” I just hope that Bogut makes a speedy recovery from his ankle injury because the Bucks won't have a prayer of reaching .500 without him in the lineup...
A few months ago, I was leading the charge for Aaron Rodgers to get a shot as the starting quarterback for the Packers. Although there have been some rough patches, Rodgers has definitely demonstrated that he can get the job done. It would have been my preference for Favre to back the kid up, but I knew #4's ego would never let that happen. The recent revelations about Favre's communication with Matt Millen prior to the Packers-Lions game in Week 2 (and perhaps personnel on other teams as well) really reflects poorly on this former Green Bay God. A once proud legacy is now tarnished and Favre will likely never be able to walk into Lambeau Field again without catcalls/boos cascading from the stands...
Although he flies well under the radar, David Alan Grier is one of the funniest guys you'll ever see/hear. DAG (as Adam Carolla affectionately calls him) is back on television in a humorous show called "Chocolate News" that I'd highly recommend...
Who says the SDSG isn't fair and balanced? Any time occasional Hitting the Links host Elisabeth Hasselbeck wants to wear her McCain t-shirt she'll be featured on this blog. However, rumor has it that one of the other liberal hens...er...hosts was not very pleased that EH wore the shirt on the show Tuesday morning...
