Week 10, Fantasy Hoops, Babe & Bonehead of the Week

"So are you guys going to play any defense?"

Thanks to the defensive unit of the Browns deciding to take the night off, I'm 1-0 so far with and without the spread.  As far as the season is concerned my records stand at 81-50 (without the spread) and 61-65-5 (with the spread).  On to the rest of the Week 10 games...

This week's Fantasy Focus will briefly examine 1) the current standings in the Langdon League and 2) five players who should be picked up, obtained or inserted into your lineups.

As it stands right now, team Sarah Palin is in 1st place with a slim lead over Paper Tiger and I Love Anna Paquin.  Yesterday morning, Paper Tiger's general manager, Set Shot Bufford, sent a message to the rest of the league advising that it was all over and he had the best team.  Well, approximately twelve hours later Shaq took the night off because of fatigue, Tony Parker went down with a high ankle sprain injury and Tracy McGrady was virtually invisible in a game against the Clippers because of lingering knee pain.  Needless to say, Paper Tiger's team is on the verge of imploding and it's only a matter of time before the customary descent into 6th place occurs.

On the other hand, I Love Anna Paquin is looking good thanks to having two of the top three ranked fantasy players right now:  Amare Stoudemire and Jason Kidd.  Despite shooting a paltry 44% from the charity stripe, Dwight Howard is also greatly contributing to the team's success.  Amare and Dwight are definitely a formidable one-two punch, but Sarah Palin is a very well rounded team (except for one category) and will be difficult to beat...

Sebastian Telfair is the starting point guard for the Timberwolves and should give you 12 points and 8 assists a game...

Kevin Love is also starting for Minnesota and will put up solid numbers in every category...even assists and three-pointers...

Wilson Chandler may not have a recognizable name, but he has a great game.  By the end of the season he'll be a Top 50 player...

The little man can fly and has been a Top 20 performer so far this season...

Gerald Green Windmills it over a table

Gerald Green can also flat out fly and is this week's recommendation for pick up of the week.   Stash Green on your bench for the next few weeks and insert him into the lineup once Thanksgiving rolls around...

Olympian track and field star Leryn Franco is second from the left and the Babe of the Week...

Al Davis is the Bonehead of the Week once again for waiving DeAngelo Hall eight games into the season after giving up 2nd and 5th round draft choices for him.  However, former Chargers quarterback Ryan Leaf was a close second after being forced to resign from his college coaching gig.  Come on Ryan, you're telling me that you couldn't afford your own drugs from the millions that you stole...er...earned from the Bolts?
