Thanksgiving Potpourri: NFL Picks, New Fantasy Hoops Article, Bonus Fantasy Focus, Sarah Palin Doll Lives To Fight Another Day & I Told You So

Turkey Day is nearly upon us and it's time to pick tomorrow's NFL games.   At first glance it appears as though Dallas, Tennessee and Arizona should all take care of business against inferior opponents.  However, something tells me there might be a surprise or two...

Without the Spread

Tennessee
Dallas
Philadelphia

With the Spread

Tennessee      -12      Lions could easily cover the large spread with a late touchdown
Dallas               -13
Arizona              +2 1/2

I think I've finally found a writer I see eye to eye with on every issue.  Check this article out for the scoop on fantasy hoops.

The rest of this bonus Fantasy Focus feature will briefly take a look at the concept of perceived value vs. actual value.  Despite putting up solid numbers the entire season, New York Knicks point guard Chris Duhon's perceived value is still next to non-existent.  Most owners scoff at Duhon as a top sixty player in the league and mistakenly refer to him as "lowly", "garbage", or a "scrub."  In reality, Duhon is producing at a very high level and is among the league leaders in both assists and 3-pointers for point guards.  Actual value is much more important than perceived value and it's one of the primary reasons why the SDSG wins fantasy leagues year after year with players like Andray Blatche, Jamario Moon and Ronnie Brewer...

Here are a few recent Doonesbury cartoons for all of the Sarah Palin fans out there.  I'm going to be breaking bread with a couple of them tomorrow afternoon and I have a feeling Sarah's name may come up once or twice...

Brooke Burke with partner Derek Hough

So Brooke Burke won "Dancing With The Stars" last night.  The SDSG told you this was going to happen a couple of weeks before the 7th season started...

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!
