"Hmmmmm....I wonder if anyone has noticed that I've taken a 14-2 football team and turned it into a 4-8 team in 20 months"



This just in...the San Diego Chargers aren't a very good football team.  Vote of confidence or no vote of confidence, the Chargers ownership can't afford to bring Norv Turner back next year.  Even if the team somehow finds a way to win the last four games to finish at 8-8, Turner needs to go.  Is the abysmal season the Chargers are having entirely his fault?  No...there is plenty of blame to go around.  Simply put: the players on the team aren't making plays.  However, it isn't possible to fire/get rid of 50 football players so Turner will likely be seeking other employment next month... 






Plaxico Burress has been in the news quite a bit this season and this latest incident is really the icing on the proverbial cake.  Although he continues to be one of the premier wide receivers in the league, Plax just can't keep his nose clean.  It never ceases to amaze me how certain athletes piss away millions of dollars.  Reportedly, Burress will never wear a Giants uniform again and the vast majority (approximately 90 percent) of the the enormous contract he signed a few short months ago will never be realized...






Although I'm occasionally prone to hyperbole, everything I've said about Derrick Rose during the past five weeks is absolutely spot on.  O.J. Mayo is putting up some gaudy numbers right now, but it's DRose who is the talk of the league.  Guys in my fantasy basketball league scoffed when I drafted Rose early in the 6th round, but I haven't heard anything since the first game of the year.  #1 is the real deal and has a chance to go down as one of the top 15 NBA ballers ever...  






Rose is my new favorite NBA player, but as far as I know he's not engaged to anyone like Adriana Lima.  My least favorite basketball player, Marko Jaric, is the only one who can make that claim.  However, if Jaric doesn't get his ass off the bench down in Memphis pretty soon then Adriana may start looking for an upgrade...
