Week 14 NFL Picks, NBA Basketball - Fantasy Focus, Babe and Bonehead of the Week

"Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?" - Bluto Blutarski
Admittedly, things still look very bleak for the San Diego Chargers. However, it's possible that Denver could completely tank down the stretch. Isn't it? All I know is that I'm rooting for Tyler Thigpen to throw 4 td's and run for one more against the Broncos on Sunday. With the Chargers thrashing of Oakland on Thursday night, my overall record without the spread stands at 125-67-1. Against the spread I'm now 99-88-6. On to the rest of the Week 14 games...

The SDSG has been in a bit of a funk lately due to the Chargers and also the premature release of 'My Guy' Rodney Stuckey. Off to an extremely slow start this season, Stuckey was waived from team Sarah Palin a couple weeks ago with the full intent of picking him back up once he got it going. Now completely healthy, Stuckey has been very solid off the bench for the Pistons lately and another team swooped in and nabbed him a few days ago right before I could pull the trigger. Although he's not an every day starter on my ridiculously deep roster, Stuckey is one of the best young guards in the league and the Pistons are usually a better basketball team when he's on the floor.
As far as the Langdon League is concerned, Sarah Palin leads the pack with almost a quarter of the season completed. After starting the year almost as slowly as Stuckey, team Free Sammy D has come back from oblivion to occupy 2nd place and clings to a slim 1/2 point lead over Eight Is Enough But Now I Have Stuckey. It should also be noted that Paper Tiger/Team of Destiny has fallen into 5th place. As stated on a number of prior occasions, this was inevitable due to the drafting of Tracy McGrady and the O'Neals. One day the owner of this team will listen to the SDSG...but until he does the best he can ever hope to finish is in 4th place.

27-year old model, self professed virgin and future wife of a Memphis Grizzlies bench warmer, Adriana Lima is the Babe of the Week...

Bonehead of the Week is Plax...and nobody was even close.
