Weekend Wrap: Chargers Coming Back To San Diego For Playoff Game Against The Ravens, Babe & Bonehead Of The Week
Although I'm not going to go 11-0 against the spread in the NFL playoffs, I'm absolutely ecstatic that the Ravens beat the Titans earlier today. This means the San Diego Chargers will be hosting another playoff game next weekend. What, you say the Bolts still have to beat the Steelers? Fah-geta about it...it's already a done deal. THE CHARGERS WILL WIN TOMORROW IN PITTSBURGH!
Marlina Moreno has captured the Babe of the Week award once again. Until the Chargers go down, I have a feeling Marlina is going to keep winning...
Although Pacman Jones made a late charge with his "scrip" club comments, the Bonehead of the Week award goes to Corky Simpson. The beleaguered former sportswriter has been under fire all week for leaving Rickey Henderson off of his Hall of Fame ballot. Bloggers like myself were very critical of the preposterous omission and here is what Corky had to say:
“I think of the literature on the Internet in the same way that I think of the literature on the walls of public bathrooms,” Simpson says. “With the exception that the literature on the walls of public bathrooms is a little higher class.”
Perhaps one day my musings will rise to the class of the literature on the walls of public bathrooms. I can dare to dream, can't I?
