Only Twits Twitter...Unless Someone Can Convince Me Otherwise
Blogging has given me an opportunity to sound off on a number of topics and I am still enjoying it immensely. Up until now, I don't think I have ever commented on the social networking phenomenon so here goes: Simply put, MySpace, Facebook and Twitter just aren't my cup of tea.
My customary answer to something that I'm not enthusiastic about is usually, "Well, that's great if it makes you happy." Twitter is a bit different though. I just don't get what is so fascinating to people about a micro-blog consisting of messages about standing in line to get a cup of coffee, going to the store to buy a blouse or doing your taxes.
Brian Unger (a guy I really enjoyed back on the old "Daily Show" with Craig Kilborn) apparently shares my opinion and takes a look at Twitter on NPR...
I agree...
I just can't understand why Twitter is so popular. During Obama's address to congress, members were actually tweeting on their freaking cell phones. Very strange!

Very strange indeed. I'm sure a lot of those members of congress didn't even bother to read the stimulus bill before voting on it last month. However, they certainly had the time to tweet away during the address (and at other times during their "very busy schedules").

Do you know what the current tally is on Kemp? I know someone in the NFL has 10 by 10 (10 kids by 10 different women).

Thanks. Nine...I think. However, I've read articles that say 12 or 13. I guess it's a fluid number.
You must be talking about Travis Henry. I think he's out of the NFL for good now, so he better have some money in the bank to support all those kids...
