Best Series Of All-Time?

I could literally write about the Chicago/Boston series from now until midnight. However, if forced to choose one word to describe the first six games it would be: EPIC. While I admit to being prone to hyperbole at times, there is absolutely no doubt that this is the best NBA playoff series of all-time. Bar none. It may even be the best series in the history of professional sports. Hell, since I am now this country's Professional Sports Czar, I'm going to just go ahead and declare it to be the best ever.
In last year's playoffs I developed a man crush on Rajon Rondo and he has only gotten better since that time. After seeing Derrick Rose in action for the first ten games of the season, I proclaimed that he was already in the conversation as far as being one of the three best point guards in the league. I said that Chris Paul was top dog, but that Rose was almost as good as Deron Williams. A few people scoffed at that statement, but does anyone want to disagree now?
Game 7 in Boston can't come soon enough for me...

The Celtics/Bulls series is definitely the greatest opening round series of all time. It's virtually untoppable in that distinction. First round NBA playoffs generally suck. The top 3 seeds usually easily dispense of the bottom 3 seeds. You usually get a good 4 vs. 5 series, but no one cares because the winner of that series gets trounced in the next round by the 1-seed. This year, in addition to having such a tremendous series on the court, the series features the defending NBA champs. That makes the Celtics-Bulls series almost unreal. If these OTs were occuring in the Hawks/Heat series, it wouldn't make nearly the splash as seeing the defending champs duke it out.

Interesting take on the series, Mike. I agree that the Celtics/defending champs (even without KG) angle has made the series even more phenomenal. However, I still think it's the best playoff series ever...at least that I can recall in my lifetime.
p.s. I'd love to hear what Paul Pierce was thinking on that love tap of a foul when he already had 5! Either hammer the shit out of Noah and make him earn two points at the line or let him go in for the dunk untouched.

I can't imagine what must be going through Kevin Garnett's head while he's on the sidelines...
Del Negro and Rivers must have lost at least 10 years off their lives from extreme stress...
Whoever wins this series tomorrow night...how are they supposed to jump right back into a series with Dwight Howard and Orlando?

I wouldn't be surprised if KG has a brain aneurysm tomorrow night if the Celtics aren't winning the game comfortably.
No doubt, but both have made some highly questionable decisions down the stretch of these games.
Going to be very tough...especially for Pierce & Allen if the Celtics prevail.
I can't wait to see what happens...
