Fauxtwitter.com, A Blogger's Ass Getting Sued & The Newest Twitterer Starts Tweeting

Trust me, I had no idea who this guy was either until earlier this morning. I doubt that even the most ardent of hockey fans would know that it's Toronto Maple Leafs GM Brian Burke. Why am I writing a post about him today? Well, it appears as though Mr. Burke instructed his lawyer to look into suing a blogger for creating a fake twitter account in his name. The lawyer didn't have any success in shutting the fake account down and Burke was not very pleased:
"I guess I don't have a problem with that," he grumbled. "It's the age we live in, I guess.
"But there has to be a degree of responsibility on the Internet. If someone's going to try and impersonate Brian Burke, I'm going to sue his ass."
Well, if I was more of a hockey fan that might be enough to motivate me to "impersonate" Mr. Burke over at fauxtwitter.com. However, despite being born and raised in Wisconsin, I never developed an appreciation for the sport. As a result...and at least for the time being...my ass isn't going to get sued.
In other Twitter news, the newest member of the Twittersphere (no it's not yours truly) began tweeting yesterday. You can read one of his actual tweets right here...
