I May Actually...Gulp...See Star Trek

J.J. Abrams deserves a lot of credit for the casting of the new Star Trek movie.  Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Eric Bana, Winona Ryder, Tyler Perry, Diora Baird, a cameo by Leonard Nimoy...very inspired!   It definitely appears as though Abrams went out of his way to appeal to an audience that doesn't eat paste, play Dungeons & Dragons and wear a pocket protector.  Come on, I'm just kidding Trekkies.

To date, I have seen a cumulative total of twenty minutes of the original Star Trek television series and not a minute of anything else (movies and other Star Trek related tv shows).   However, this contemporary version does look intriguing and I am seriously considering the possibility of seeing the movie in a theater later this month.

In a late afternoon comment yesterday, a reader had the audacity to question my grasp of pop culture and I responded that I was a Prince of Pop Culture.  Upon further reflection, I actually think a more apt moniker would be the Pop Culture Prince...or PCP for short.  There may be a handful of people out there who can keep up with me as far as pop culture is concerned, but that's it.

On a go forward basis, please feel free to call me PCP in addition to SDSG or Drew  Although reading my blog posts won't result in an "out of body experience" all the time, you might just have one every once in a while...
