Clipper Nation: There Is Reason To Rejoice!

Earlier this evening the Los Angeles Clippers captured the top pick in the upcoming NBA Draft and earned the right to select man-child Blake Griffin.  Now fans of the Clippers can only hope & pray that the completely incompetent Mike Dunleavy isn't the one coaching him once the season starts in about five months...

Ricky Rubio will ultimately be the better pick. Better player, more seats in the stands with his flashy moves. Need to give Rubio a few years to mature. While Blake Griffin will be better sooner, ceiling on Rubio is higher.

      Mike,

I wondered what it would take to get you to comment.  I guess calling you completely incompetent did the trick.  Believe me, I love Ricky Rubio's game and think he has a ceiling of Jason Kidd.  However, ultimately RR may be no better than Jason "White Chocolate" Williams.

On the other hand, barring serious injury Blake Griffin is going to be an automatic 18/12 guy within two years.  There is only one person who can hold him back:  YOU.

What do you think about Rubio going to Phoenix to back up Nash?  After a year or so he should be able to step in and start producing in that high octane Suns offense.  Perhaps Steve Kerr can deal Amare and the Phoenix lottery choice for Rudy Gay, a scrub like Marko Jaric (for salary purposes) and Rubio.

It would be great if the Bucks could land Rubio, but John Hammond isn't creative enough to do it...
