If I could change one thing in the sports world it would be___________ because...

The length of the baseball and basketball seasons--way too long & hard to stay interested the entire season

The sports figure/celebrity/politician/business person I most admire is _______ because...

Howard Stern--doing it his way for 30 years, still on top and on top of his game, knows how to assemble a perfect cast of coworkers.  BEST interviewer out there, bar none

The top five movies of all-time are...

Deer Hunter '78- Once they get to Vietnam, the most gripping cinema ever
Up in Smoke'78- Funniest first half hour of any movie
Fletch '85- Scene after scene of well-constructed comedy
Back to the Future '85- One of the best concepts in movies, perfectly constructed
Predator '87/Die Hard '88 (tie)-  Best of the action adventure genre

If I could trade places with anyone in the world it would be __________ because...

Sam Simon-  Talented, yes, but in the right place at the right time as a writer for Taxi before making billions as Simpsons co-creator

I strongly disagree with the SDSG about...

Assessment of NBA talent from a fantasy perspective (runner-up-unwillingness to understand that Sean Hannity is an entertainer, not a Republican party shill)

      A Few Thoughts...

"Fletch" really was a solid comedy.  I haven't thought about Gummy & Fat Sam in years though.  Definitely will have to rent again very soon..

"Up In Smoke" ...best first half-hour of any comedy?  Hmmmm....I'll have to take another look

Although I haven't listened to Stern since he went to satellite years ago, I recall that his celebrity interviews were usually very good

Glenn Beck is clearly an entertainer/clown...and a very popular one these days.  Sean Hannity isn't the least bit amusing.  If you think his recitation of the Republican talking points is entertaining, I don't know what to say...

Didn't know Simon was a writer on "Taxi"...one of the ten best sitcoms of all-time.  Louis, Alex, Tony, Bobby, Reverend Jim...now that is a reunion show I would watch

Hockey? NHL Game 7?  When was that?

If a Stanley Cup Game 7 championship is played, and no one watches on TV to see it, does it even exist?
