Now that LT is all but gone, the next Chargers player jettisoned will undoubtedly be Shawne "Lights Out" Merriman.  The oft-injured Merriman's productivity has been way down and he will almost certainly be shown the door at some point during the next couple of months.    

It will be strange seeing both LT and Merriman in different uniforms next season, but it's the right thing to do.  The skills of the franchise's two most recognizable players have clearly diminished and it's time to move on...
