Tiger Emerges From Lair To Talk But Doesn't Really Say Very Much

Here is Tiger Woods exiting the stage after delivering a surreal thirteen minute prepared statement to a handful of "invited guests" and countless millions of people around the world. What did I find most interesting? I truly can't fathom why ABC, NBC and CBS all broke away from regular programming to air this press conference live. The fact that this spectacle was broadcast on ESPN, The Golf Channel and maybe a couple other cable shows is one thing, but the Big 3 as well? Please. That was just insanity.
I could write several more paragraphs about how Woods has handled this entire ordeal. However, since Tiger is taking enough of a beating today I really don't feel the need to pile on. Although I thought it would be a sure thing that Woods plays in The Masters six weeks from now, it definitely doesn't appear as though this will be the case. Look for Tiger to make his triumphant return to the PGA Tour at the U.S. Open. Until then, I have no doubt that we'll once again be bombarded with members of Tiger's harem...whether we like it or not.
