Phil Jackson Really Is Overrated, The Bucks Are Back & A Few Reasons To Fear The Deer

Whiny, weak and superficial?? Me? Surely you jest.

When I first read this comment yesterday I chuckled because it brought to mind one of my favorite scenes in movie history.  Perhaps Douglas Niedermayer really did leave a comment on my blog.

If so, Doug please note that I didn't say Phil Jackson was a bad coach.  I merely said he is overrated.  Just watch him tonight against the Thunder.  Other than whistling a few times and leaning over to listen to one of his assistants, Jackson will hardly move a muscle on the bench.  This is worth $10 million a year?  Please.  The Lakers may beat Oklahoma City in the series and advance to the next round, but it will have little to do with The Zen Master

In other hoops news....

How 'bout those Milwaukee Bucks!!!!  I am almost speechless.  When Andrew Bogut went down I thought the Bucks were toast.  However, right now it really is necessary to Fear The Deer.  Here are five reasons why:

5.  Kurt Thomas is the biggest bad ass in basketball

4.  Scott Skiles is a superb coach during the first two seasons with a team prior to his players tuning him out

3.  John Salmons has gotten so much better since he starred in the movie White Man Can't Jump and is now one of the ten best shooting guards in the NBA

2.  Brandon Jennings is a cold blooded assassin and Mike Bibby can't guard him

1.  The Flying Dutchman...Dan Gadzuric!!!
