It's Time To Stick A Fork In Orlando But The Suns Still Have A Shot If Channing Frye Can Get On Track (Video)

The Orlando Magic rolled over in game 3 of their playoff series against the Celtics and are officially on life support.   What a  disgraceful performance last night.  Dwight Howard and every other player on the Magic squad should be ashamed of themselves.

Over in the Western Conference game 3 tips off in about eight hours and I expect a completely different result.  As long as Steve Nash and Grant Hill are on the Phoenix Suns roster, there isn't going to be any rolling over.

However, in order for Phoenix to climb back into the series Channing Frye must immediately go from MIA to MVP.  Frye is the key to the series and he has to start making shots.  Lots of them.

When Frye is stretching the defense and nailing three-pointers the Suns are incredibly tough to beat.  During the regular season the lanky big man drilled 172 3's and shot an eye-popping 44 percent from behind the arc.

In the first two games of the series against the Lakers Frye played a grand total of 29 minutes and made one shot.  Simply abysmal.  Sure, Amar'e Stoudemire refusing to play defense and rebound are also significant issues but Frye's disappearing act is undoubtedly head coach Alvin Gentry's major problem right now.

While things do look somewhat bleak against a very talented Lakers team, the sun hasn't set on Phoenix's season just yet.  Will they win a seven game series ?  No, but don't be surprised if Los Suns win the next two at home...especially if Frye finds the range.
