Shawn Kemp's Kids Sound Off About Dan Gilbert, Jesse Jackson, LeBron James, Kim Kardashian, Louie & More

The kids stopped by today to briefly sound off about a number of different topics:
- Did Jesse Jackson really compare Dan Gilbert to a slave owner? Of course he did. Jackson is the ultimate attention whore. The reverend only inserted himself into the story to get a little publicity and/or deflect the firestorm of criticism away from LeBron James.
Unbelievably, radio talk show host Colin Cowherd essentially supported Jackson's contentions. Although Cowherd denounced Jackson's slavery reference, he stated on his show this morning that Gilbert's letter had "a clear and undeniable racial component."
Say what? As far as I'm concerned, the only racial component was that Gilbert is white and James is black. That's it. Case closed.
- Is "Precious" the most difficult movie to watch in the history of film? Maybe not, but it has to be in the top five. Damn, that movie was rough and hard to sit through. One thing is for sure. Mo'Nique definitely deserves her best supporting actress award.
- "Louie" is Must See TV right now. If you haven't started watching it on Tuesday nights then set your DVR immediately. Louis C.K. is breaking television barriers with this new FX show and it should simply not be missed. If the scene stealing Nick DiPaolo doesn't become a household name within the next six months, I'd be shocked.
- Finally, don't be surprised if Kim Kardashian sets her sights on the new big fish down in Miami. Although high school sweetheart Savannah Brinson is the mother of LeBron's two sons, she better have her head on a swivel in South Beach. Brinson isn't married to James so The Tush (see below) may try to swoop in and steal the self-proclaimed king. I'm just sayin'...

I was listening to Cowherd today to see if he was going to bring up Jackson's comments, knowing that he's really the only ESPN personality that would dare touch it.
And I disagree with him.
This is America. EVERYTHING has a racial component.
Personally, I thought Jackson's comments were laughable. If anybody perpetuates racial buffoonery in this country, it's him.
If LeBron were white and Gilbert were black, would it make a damn bit of difference?
