This just in: the San Diego Padres are reeling. 

10 straight losses and counting.  At this point, San Diego would likely have trouble beating a baseball team comprised of guys named Leak, Engelberg, Ogilvie, Lupus and Stein. 

Instead of watching the Padres find new and creative ways to lose games I'd recommend doing the following three things:

1.  Rent "Role Models" with Paul Rudd.  In case you haven't noticed, Rudd has suddenly (and somewhat unexpectedly) become one of the best and most versatile actors in Hollywood.  The hilarious Bobb'e J. Thompson steals several scenes in this very humorous movie.  

2.  Are you ready for some football?  I know I am and the NFL season is about to officially kick off in a matter of days.  I'd watch a game between the Detroit Lions and Cleveland Browns over the Padres in a heartbeat.   

3.  Buy or rent the movie "In the Loop" with Peter Capaldi and James Gandolfini.  It is absolutely brilliant.  In fact, Capaldi's Malcolm Tucker is the funniest character I've seen on film in at least a decade.
