In about four weeks, Grantland.com will be the new home for all things Bill Simmons.  Noteworthy writers/authors like Chuck Klosterman, Malcolm Gladwell, Dave Eggers and dozens of others will be contributing to the site on a regular basis as well. 

I guess Pretentious.com was already taken (I kid...sort of).

In addition to these four well known scribes, other contributors include Bill Barnwell, Katie Baker, Molly Lambert and a gentleman named Patrice Evans (perhaps the Garrett Morris of this group of Not Ready For Prime Time Players). 

Will I check out the site?  Absolutely.  Despite Bill, Chuck and Malcolm's many foibles, I still enjoy reading what they have to say from time to time.   Simmons is to be commended for spearheading this admirable endeavor and I wish him nothing but success. 

Speaking of success, yours truly is also planning a new internet venture in June.  Further details will be forthcoming shortly, but all of Shawn Kemp's Kids have been very hard at work.  Stay tuned...
