It Was A Bad Week For Your Fearless Blogger: OKC & Chicago Both Went Down In Flames

Back in late March I predicted the Chicago Bulls would face the Oklahoma City Thunder in the NBA Finals. Fast forward six weeks...that prognostication was looking pretty damn good.
Well, during the past week it all came to an end...a spectacular end. Both the Bulls and Thunder absolutely collapsed and couldn't close out games down the stretch.
As I sit here eating humble pie and typing this post, I must give shout outs to both Chris at SportChump.net and Marcelo, the biggest Pat Rileysycophant supporter in the world.
Prior to the beginning of the series, Chris proudly proclaimed that the Mavs would have absolutely no trouble with OKC and I questioned the man's sanity. After all, who would be covering Russell Westbrook? Old man Jason Kidd? The ancient Jason Terry? Jockey J.J. Barea? Surely you jest.
Well, clearly OKC wasn't ready for prime time and folded under the pressure. Earlier today Chris explained how Dallas deposed of Oklahoma City in this autopsy...er...blog post.
As far as the Bulls are concerned, it's still a little too soon. One minute I was celebrating Ronnie Brewer's clutch 3-pointer and the next minute the roof caved in. It hasn't even been 24 hours yet and I'm still unclear about what exactly transpired. Did DRose and my beloved Bulls really squander a 12-point lead with three minutes to go in the game?
Sigh...I guess there is always next season.

Hey, at least you didn't have money on it.
So I hear Portland wants Brandon Roy to retire. Sounds like he'd be a perfect pick up for Chicago.
