No NFL? No NBA? No Problem...Let's Talk Politics & The Near Certainty That Marco Rubio Will Be President One Day



Lockout talk is extremely depressing and major league baseball doesn't get interesting until the World Series.  How about a quick political post on the last day of June? 

Having been a registered Independent for more than a decade now, it has been a while since my curiosity has been piqued by a Republican presidential candidate.  John McCain? Tim Pawlenty? Newt Gingrich? Michelle Bachmann? Sarah Palin? Please.

While Marco Rubio may not be a viable candidate in 2012, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind he will become President of the United States before he turns 50. 

Is it really so hard to speak your mind, stand up for your convictions, not become beholden to special interests and fight for what you think is right?  Maybe in today's world it is and I'm too much of an idealist.  However, it appears as though Rubio may indeed have the right stuff.  

I like the guy's moxie and hope he continues to strongly voice his opinions and then stand behind them. While Barack Obama broke down one barrier, it definitely appears as though Rubio is on the fast track to breaking down another.  President Rubio is going to become a reality.  It's only a matter of time...
